The biggest challenge in architecture is keeping possession of creativity and playfulness while keeping sustainability, reasonability and state-of-the-art engineering under control.
DEBOUT is a partnership of architects, led by Szabolcs KŐMÍVES and Imre CSÁSZÁR, based on the revelation that high-end architecture is only viable with deep atechnical and engineering background. Their ars-poetica is perfectly expressed by the French word Debout, having paralell meanings, like standing firmly on the ground while heading upwards. This binary stance helps keeping the focus on architectural sensibility and innovativeness, while firmly enduring to the viability in engineering solutions. At Debout, architects and engineers work within a so-called Design Cloud*, which is a link between the concept phase1 and the detailed, or core design2. While shaping a future building or plot layout at the very first stages,
all major engineers and if necessary special consultants are already in charge,in order to achieve the right solutions at the earliest possible phase. In combination with BIM3 based 3D modeling, the design procedure is a continuous research and refinement, instead of needless row of modifications. Developing a wrought view in the starting point, engineering stays in perfect partnership with architecture throughout the entire design procedure. As represented in the enclosed, non-exhaustive selec-tion of works. DEBOUT has proven the significance of the aforementioned strategies, earning utter trust of their clientele, as the highest possible recognition.
